EE laid her first egg today and my 4 year old wanted to eat “The green egg”!

We do have a cockerel, although I’ve never seen him mount any of our pullets (they all turned 21 weeks Monday) and only two are laying.

so I was surprised when we cracked this and I thought I saw a bullseye- am I seeing things?? Is this fertile? It’s not super clear so extra eyes would be appreciated!

Either you're not able to observe frequently or he's got good technique and manners.

I’m thankful he’s such a gentleman. I’ve heard so many horror stories of young cockerels being terrible. I work from home so I feel like I check in on them quite often, but apparently not during prime time! Thanks for your responses!!
