Bully Chicken and Reintegration

Please help!

I am at a complete loss and feeling defeated. I have separated the bully chicken for almost two weeks. All the chickens free range together and are completely content. I bought the pinless peppers and put them on the bully chicken. She kept them on all night and morning so I thought I was in the clear. I put her in the coop with the other chickens and it seemed to be going well. A little pecking of the pinless peppers but I read that was normal. I left them alone and come back to a bloody delaware and the pinless peppers off of the bully. Now I have to take the delaware away from the flock since she is bloody (yes she is still in sight of the flock), Why can't they get along?

Should I give the bully chicken away for a few weeks and then bring her back to the flock? Please help! I want to keep my chickens but I am sick and tired of needing two different changes.

Thanks in advance.

If the peepers came off they were probably not properly placed in the nostrils.

You may have to consider rehoming this hen. She is making your other chickens miserable!!

personally I would have culled her.

I'm trying to work out issues in my coop as well. I have a "prison" or "hospital" whichever I need in the coop. I had the bully in there, but now she is wearing pinless peepers (as of yesterday), as is one another (as of today). I need to put them on two others before I let my pecked on girl back out with them during the day. I'd also like her feathers to grow back a bit first. I do let her out to gree range with them and she roosts with them at night, but I leave for work at 5, so before I leave i put their food out and place her in the "hospital room" in the coop. Another chicken I tried to put them on to day I had issues as her nostrils are pretty small, I'll try again tomorrow. I've upped the girl's protein and try to add more and different vegetables into the coop for them to peck at during the day to try and keep them busy. I think I need to make their run bigger, according to everything i've read, it should be big enough, but? You may want to read through this thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/697052/i-think-i-found-a-miracle-cure-for-feather-picking there is no miracle cure, but there are alot of ideas to try. After I put the main attacker away, the girls let my picked on girl "silly goose" alone, until yesterday when It was really windy and blew her feathers around and uncovered her bald spot, so they started pecking it until it was raw :( I'm praying I can get this under control. time will tell. So far the pinless peepers seem to be working "knock on wood" When a chicken comes up beside my main attacker she'll turn to peck at them, then she can't see them so she goes back to whatever she was doing. This is my first time with chickens, I had no idea how much work and how much heartache they would be. Hopefully it starts to get better, it is heartbreaking.

If I was as unhappy as you after all these attempts for harmony, I would just rehome all of them, and start over. Have a nice long, breathing period and start over in spring.

At this point I would be

. Sorry you are having all of this

I can sympathize with you. I have 12 1 yr old hens. they have been together since they were chicks. for some unknown reason they started pecking 1 hen. she is now totally bald. we tried taking her out for 2 days while we cared for her wounds. it was great for 2 days then they starting pecking her gain. I found her huddled in the corner and the others were relentless in trying to get to her. I brought her back in for a week. we have since had her in a cage in the coop. she has been in there for 3 days. I have only been able to put the them outside for the last 2 days. she was having a fit she didn't want to be alone so I thought maybe with them being outside I could just slip her in...no deal. I found her hiding with her head hidden. so she's back in the cage. my heart breaks for her. when I pick her up she closes her eyes and lays her beak on my arm. this is my first flock and have 6 chicks ordered and now I'm not sure I want to do this anymore....
