Hi y’all. We got 8 chicks on 4/1 and they were all under a week. The biggest is the Easter Egger. She is clearly at the top of the pecking order. She has been picking on the Polish chick and eating her tail feathers, which did bleed a little yesterday. Any advise on how I should respond to this behavior? Let them figure it out or intervene is some way? Thanks!

How much space do they have ? It may be time to enlarge their pen.
They sleep in rabbit cage in garage at night, this rabbit pen in the yard during the day and will be finishing up this 4X8 stage coach mobile tractor this week. We have 7 chicks now. Lost one first week. Maybe the larger space will help! I want to build a run after the mobile coop is finished.

Absolutely.....hurry!
Such a beginner. I’m now realizing the coop I’m building is way to small for my flock. It’s only 32sq feet of run and 8sq feet of coop. Hopefully it will hold them all over long enough for me to build another larger coop/run. I can put the two bantams and the Polish in the small one and the others in the larger.
