I don't know if anyone remembers me several months ago looking for help with my very large White Sussex (Harriet) and some new (about 8weeks) chicks. No matter how much I separated them, any chance Harriet had she would beat them up. This went on for months and was making me really miserable 
Now however, as they have grown into decent sized Australorp x Rhode Is. Red (beautiful black with iridescent green on their backs) she has stopped at last. Occasionally she will jump on one of them and have a peck but this is a rare occurrence. So we have a happy owner and five happy babies
