Bullying

It is a feeder and a waterer at one end and a feeder and waterer at other end

but all in all just sounds like I need to build a new one

Yes, you really do. My suggestions are at very least temporary solutions to buy you some time.

However, if you cannot build, or build before winter, you would be better off to reduce your flock to fit the set up you have currently, and get more after building is done.

PS, I see you are in Alabama - so winter should not be so (this northern lady thinks?) tough.

Well, update

I separated the bully from the rest of the flock yesterday and part of today. When I got home from church, I opened the door to let them out and removed the divider. They spent all afternoon wandering around. Tonight, when I got home I went to lock the door since I figured all the chickens would be in there. I was concerned when I didn’t see the little reds on the bar where they usually sleep. I looked in the back where the rocks sleep and one of the reds was on the bar next to them and the other three were on the stairs right there with them!

fingers crossed maybe she will accept them into the flock now
