Our Olive Egger has a bum toe (missing a knuckle) but it looks like the nail is curling into the toe...seems to be growing as she grows too.. Should we clip it? Or manage it in some fashion? How should we do it? Sand it down with a dremel and have bleed-stop on hand? šŸ˜¬ Help!!
She doesn't seem to be in pain and isn't limping, but she's always been a wild lil' one so it's hard to tell if this is a problem.. or could become a problem. Either way we want to be proactive.

You will need to clip it a small amount often, and use either blood stop powder or flour, corn starch if it bleeds. A dremel or file might be easier. I had a rooster who spurs grew into his legs and those had to be removed or kept trimmed.
