bumble food surgery - how do you get all the infection???

Noticed my chicken has a puffy foot today. Did a little research on here. Classic looking bumblefoot. Scab on the bottom and right in the middle of the swelling. Soaked food, cleaned foot, picked out scab with blade, tried to cut/squeeze more puss or infection out and cant seem to get anything. Her foot is still puffy.
Do I cut a larger circle around the original scab hole? I was imagining a little pressure and the infection would pop out, but no. It was getting late and I was loosing light, so I put on her bandage and called it a day. I think I need to try again tomorrow or in a few days. I would love any advice.

I never done it but I wouldnt wait couple days cause the swelling of what you did today will make it harder . Its a hard core that has to be cut out. It ant be squeezed out. Hopefully someone will come with the exact directions to help you by the AM. good luck to ya.

This is my personal preferred method, I don't like to cut unless it is absolutely necessary.
