I brought my 1 yr old Mottled Houdan into a vet a month ago about her foot but was told I was being paranoid.. and charged $120

We’ve been soaking it in epson salt and putting tea tree, lavender and manuka honey on it but it still looks the same.

What are the typical symptoms? Today was the first day she’s been acting strange and lethargic but everything else seems normal.

unsure if she has bumble or dirt stick under her scales on her skin

if so what’s the treatment plan? Thanks!

Her feet look normal to me, it just looks like dirt. Bumblefoot scabs are usually a pretty well defined black plug. As it progresses the chicken may start limping, and the area may start swelling. As for why your hen is acting strange and lethargic I don't know, but I don’t think it has to do with her feet. Even if that was bumblefoot that wouldn't be severe enough to cause her to be acting sick I don't think.

Thank you for the response! Not sure what’s going on with her. Besides that all signs are normal. The only odd thing is her not wanting to move a lot or huddling down.
