On week three of soaking in epsoms salts twice a day. Have treated with drawing salve, neosporin, and vetericyn. There was a black spot two weeks ago but it has disappeared. The bumble area is soft and healthy looking on one side but still has a hard area on the other side but skin looks good. I feel no real plug, just a hard area. I have had ducks about 10 years and haven’t had one like this before. Any suggestions?
She is also becoming more testy when being handled, not liking the 'duck spa'she gets twice a day.

I will try to get a better picture. I have no one help handle and she is fussy. The right side in the picture is soft and pliable the left side has no black spot but is hard.

Here are a few more pictures. You can see the flaccid area on he right side and the hard lump on the left. It is not hot just hard. These are taken in the morning before she’s been mobile.
She is no longer limping. I watch videos of folks just soaking a bumble then plucking the plug out but I don’t see anything I could pluck out. I really don’t want to be a surgeon and cut it out but we are both getting weary of the process. 😊. Thanks for your help!!

Hmmmm this sounds exactly like one of my cases. I did make an incision where the small scab was because it was still swollen a couple weeks later and there is nothing. It seems like it is just swollen tissue. Unfortunately mine will seem to be fine for a few days then start limping again... now I’m starting to wonder if he is just faking it so he can come inside and watch Netflix with mom 🤔 🙄

Smart bird. We all like to be spoiled! Except my girl...she’s antisocial. Maybe if I let her watch TV.....
So nothing to remove when you cut open? Mine has no scab or black spot so I wouldn’t know where to incise.

This was the bumble on my Runner. I took her to the vet since I’d never seen a bumble like this one this was bottom of her foot but the lump was on top too. She was put on an antibiotic and Meloxicam at day 7 I took a scalpel and made a tiny slit on the bottom of her foot and that core popped right out. I put antibiotic ointment on and wrapped her foot checked again about 3 days later to make sure it didn’t come back placed ointment again and wrapped again till healed.

Nope. Not a thing. It’s been over a month now and swelling is down so idk what it was... my other duck was a typical case so it was easy to deal with
