Bumble foot. :(

Is this an avian vet? What drugs does she have her on?

I'm worried by the looks of the Bumble, that the infection is spreading up her legs possibly causing osteomyelitis.

Her regular vet gave her ciprofloxacin 1ML every 12 hours for 30 days. We started on the 8th.
this time around for some reason I got a different vet. (I wasn’t happy about it) it says in her file who her vet is. So I’m not sure why they put us with a different vet. Its a 30 minute drive one way plus the wait and appointment time. So I just decided to see what she said.
I’m not sure what osteomyelitis is.. but googling now.

Is your sand wet? If so that is likely part of the problem
Only when they splash in the pool a lot. It’s really hot here. Today being 109 so it doesn’t last long if it does get wet.
I put large ice chunks in there water to help keep to water cooler.

Bumble can also be caused by vitamin deficiency. Are they on a good diet?

They get both the pellets and meal worms every day along with a mixture of fruits and vegetables.
Which includes corn, peas, zucchini, cucumbers, watermelon, strawberries, lettuce, carrots, tomatoes and cantaloupe. :) they also enjoy mint from one of my herb plants.
Am I missing anything?

I think eventually you or your vet are going to have to get that scab off and get that bumble out. Try after soaking to work it off with your finger nail once you get the scab off hopefully you can pick the bumble out with a pair of sterile tweezers especially if you see it infection up close to the top.

Yeah it looks like soaking is helping a lot! I’m soaking her in Epsom salt in a large bowl with warm water. She hates it and won’t hold still. Is there an easier way to do this? I see people put their duck is Home Depot buckets. (Guessing they are much smaller than my 7.5 LB Pekin.) lol
I tried to do a smaller bowl but she tries to drink the Epsom water. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was told not to let them do that.
Also thoughts on Apple cider vinegar? I have put it in their drinking water before but never used it for bumble foot.
I’ll post more pictures in a little bit!
