Bumble foot?

Not sure how well the picture shows but I think it's the black thing on the side

Thanks for the picture. I don't see a core, just some cracking, and some scabs. Do you have any antibiotics on hand? That is what I would start her on, along with an NSAID. If you don't have any antibiotics on hand, could you order one of these?

Ok sorry I haven't replied in 10 days so I've seen other people online give other solutions and it seems there are a few ways, like feeding him medication and cure from the inside. Treat from the outside like rubbing stuff on it or cutting the bumble and putting gloves on. So before I buy anything I'm lost on what I'm supposed to do if I need to do anything. There isn't a core it's just a bubble.

When there is no core, the ointments work poorly at fixing the problem. The infection is deeper inside the foot, and when the skin is intact the ointment won't be able to reach the infection, that's why I would recommend starting her on an antibiotic for a while to kill the infection. I would suggest, fixing any management problems that may predispose them to getting Bumblefoot such as rough bedding, starting him on an antibiotic for a week, assessing the foot thereafter to see if an incision needs to be done to remove the puss in the swelling. If so, bandaging will need to be done.

Ok and just any of those fish antibiotics are good?
Are any better than the others

Yes, fish antibiotics are the same type of antibiotics, we use as humans, and what we use for other animals in veterinary practice, the only difference is it doesn't undergo as much "safety precautions".

I would suggest the Cephalexin as it's used for skin infections,

If you weigh her on a gram scale, I can give you instructions regarding dosing.

I am away from my computer which has some of the dosing info for Cephalxein, but I believe it is around three/four times a day. The thirty pill bottle will work, because you won't be using a whole pill a day. I can give you further instructions tomorrow.

Ok well I saw another post saying 57mg per pound which my duck is a rouen drake so my guess is he is about 7-9 pounds (I'll have to weigh him) which is around 400-500mg which would be an entire pill
Although that is amoxicillin I'll have to check what this one is unless it's around the same

I will check the dosing for Cephalexin in the morning for you. It may be more than I think, so you may just get the 100 pill bottle, that way you have extra in the future if need be. There is a lot of incorrect dosing drug information regarding poultry, so let me confirm with some reliable veterinary sources before you do anything.
