bumble foot

My tiny bantam hen has what I think is bumble foot. Her foot looks like a black marble with toes sticking out. The info says to peel or cut out the black sores and pack the wound with antibiotic. Also treat her with pen-G. My vet is on vacation and will not be back until the 29th. No other vet will treat. There is just too much black to remove. I have soaked (epsom salts) her foot twice since I found it last night. What can I do until the vet gets back and can give her antibiotics?
