Bumblefoot advice needed

I have a hen that had bumblefoot on one toe. I removed a total of five kernels and pus over a three week time span! It kept coming back.

I then administered penicillin shots intramuscular 1/2cc for 7 days. This cleared up the infection, and it has been clear for two weeks. But...... The toe is still swollen?????? Is this normal? It feels normal, the skin has healed well, and the bird is acting normal.

Sometimes when there has been recurrent infection in an area, there can be damage to the capillary or lymphatic system where fluid isn't re-absorbed well. I'm not sure if that could be her problem or not. It could just take some time to heal.
