So a little update in case it helps anybody in the future—Glad you got it out! I had done the same with my one polish hen… I could feel a lump (kernel) moving around and was able to remove it successfully. She healed up pretty fast and you could definitely see an improvement in her behavior almost immediately! However, with my BCM was/is different. I actually lanced her a couple times in different areas but there was nothing to remove and no visual signs of pus or a kernel. :-/
Idk, that’s why I am assuming it’s scar tissue from when she was younger or gout.
I appreciate your input. I hope your baby continue to improves!![]()
after trying to get more of the kernal out at the bottom (where there is no scab eventhough I managed to get a very small piece out earlier by lancing it)…, I couldn’t find anything else at the bottom of the foot. However the area between her toes were super swollen, I did Epsom salt soak for 15 mins the night before and next day in the afternoon it look like it was about to burst open so I lanced it. And lo and behold! I got 2 giant plugs out. So yeah even if there was no scab, I could still get the kernal out from the top part between her toes. This is after weeks of prid and disinfecting the foot and vet wrap. Pics below. Hope this helps!
