We have a chicken that I'm assuming has bumblefoot. She has a bubble looking thing with a little dot in the middle on the top of her foot in the webbing between toes. The problem is, we leave for vacation Saturday morning and don't have a chicken sitter that would be able to do anything. It doesn't seem to be bothering her at all. I did not look at the bottom of her foot yet. My question is, do I attempt to treat it before we leave, knowing that as of Saturday she needs to be able to be treated as normal or do I wait until we get home to address it? We are gone for 2 weeks.

Do you have pictures? If it's between her toes, in the webbing part, it may be hardened debris that can be easily removed, as long as it's not broken through the skin. I have a chicken that gets this often but I can easily remove the hard ball while holding her. If I drop it on a solid surface, it sounds like a rock. The first time I noticed it, I thought I'd be treating for bumblefoot but as I picked at the mass all along the edges of it, I was finally able to free it and realized it wasn't attached but lodged in there and this new divet in the web is serving as a pocket for debris.
