Took my leghorn age 14 months to the vet for a swollen toe (no open wound ) just swollen , she wouldn’t put weight on. He diagnosed bumblefoot cut a slit in her toe and drained it and treated her with a convenia antibiotic injection , wrapped her foot and said to leave it on for 6 days with her isolated in dry safe area. We removed the bandage it was still swollen with a tiny blood leaking spot ,soaked it and applied antibiotic foot spray and rewrapped it for 2 more days. It is no longer open or bleeding, toe is still swollen (less) but she doesn’t want to put weight on it and holds it up as often as she can. She will walk but limps. This has been 8 days since her vet visit and antibiotic shot. Any advice on when she will feel better or if I should take her to the vet again? It’s closed up, and no visible lumps or bumps or blood just a swollen toe. Can I put her back with the 3 other hens? They are usually a good group who have gotten along before, but now that she is limping I don’t know if that’s smart? Thanks
