My son in law pulled out 20 eggs from under the back porch and found Darlin so I will get her buried today.

Fourteen - a new record - including a ridiculous effort from one of the RIR that's bound to be a double yolker. Managed to drop one but luckily I was home by then, so scooped the whole thing off the counter onto the pizza I was just about to put in the oven and then fished the shell out before cooking it.

Technically I had 31 eggs today but because the 20 were old and of course 1 got cracked I really only got 11.

Just collected 7, from a mixed age flock of 17 (some too young to lay) and one of my better layers is being bullied i think. And another of my best layers is also the bully. Out of 12 of age hens, though, i’m getting about a dozen eggs every other day.

12 but only 10 made it home safe. Polly jumped out of a nest box to object to me checking on her broody sister, and the egg she'd been getting ready to lay pretty much fell out of her from about four feet up and smashed on my boot. Another cracked in my pocket, though luckily only the shell and not the membrane.
