Once you get the Cephalexin pills, take one, crush it finely, and it to 10ml of water. Mix well. If she weighs 9.5 pounds, draw 6ml of that mixture, and dose her orally in the mouth. You'll need to do that, four times daily.

6ml might take a little work getting down her throat, so instead, you could add two pills into 10ml of water, which would be twice the strength, and you would only have to give her 3ml, four times a day.

You knew my next question — thanks for the link to the instructions! I’ll keep you posted as it progresses. The swelling does look better just from cleaning, epsom poultice, and wrapping. I’m sure the antibiotic will help speed things up though. Thanks again!

Still waiting on the antibiotics. Should be here today. Still, the foot is looking MUCH better. I’ve been having her soak it for 20+ minutes each day, then I put an epsom salt poultice on the foot and wrap it in Coban (vet-wrap). Each day the swelling seems to go down. She’s also acting more “normal.” I didn’t notice how lethargic she was the first couple days, but she’s eating again and getting her energy back.
