Hello everyone,

My pekin duck appears to have bumblefoot. One of her feet appears to be very minor but the other more severe. I bought some epsom salt and I will be soaking her feet every day. Is there any more products I can use or suggestions? Here is some pictures below.

I am able to see very minor localized Bumblefoot in the pictures you provided. Acknowledging the mildness of the problem, soaking the foot, then applying an ointment to the lesions, and bandaging should be all that's needed to correct the problem.

What type of ointment do you recommend?

Preferably one that works against both bacteria, yeast, and fungus, since all can be found in bumblefoot plugs. That might include Manuka Honey or Silver Sulfidiziane cream. If you don't have any of those you can use Neosporin or Preparation H.

Okay thank you so much! I will make sure to get one of those ☺️.. just to make sure though these are the areas I should focus right?

I had wonderful luck with Tricide-Neo on four chickens with bumblefoot. It's intended for bacterial infections in fish but I read that it can also work for bumblefoot and after nothing else worked for me I decided to give it a try. I followed the instructions on the package for mixing it and soaked their feet for 5 minutes a day for a week, no wrapping the feet or isolating the birds. This was about a month ago and all four birds healed beautifully. Here is the link to the article I read-

Wrapping her with the ointment has been quite difficult for me. My duck isn’t very calm 😅.. I want try tricide neo but I can’t find it anywhere. I tried tractor supply, different fish shops and pet store but nothing. Do you know where I can find it? Or any other brands?or will any other neomycin sulfate powder work?
