My 3 yr old red sex link had bumblefoot on both feet about a week and half ago (our first bumblefoot chicken). Took the scabs off, the right one I think looks good and I did get some sort of kernal out. The left one didn't really have a kernal or puss but everytime I tried digging around a bit to see, she would freak out so I didn't know if it was healthy tissue or not under the scab, so I stopped, and now I'm worried I didn't get it all. Besides the scab, I haven't seen it change but does it look swollen? I'ma having a hard time telling 😭 It's not hot to touch and isn't really red (pic is after I tried squeezing), and nothing has come out anytime I tried squeezing but she seems in pain when I do it. I'm just worried I didn't get it all out and I'm not sure how to tell if it's healing or still infected. I've been doing epsom salt soaks, vetericyn spray, Neosporin (non pain relief) and rewrapping since then along with calcium and poultry cell for her reproductive issues. She's not limping but she does sometimes pick up a leg when standing (does it to each legs), so I can't tell if it's hurting her or if it's because the ground is cold/or bandage.

She's been having some reproductive issues lately and hasn't been feeling the best, so I'm worried I'm putting more stress on her with treating it. Can someone please tell me if it looks like it's healing or not or how should I proceed?

I think they both look pretty good. I would do what eggcessive suggests and give her a chance to heal.

My vet recommends simply keeping feet bandaged (with antibiotic ointment) to keep pressure off the scabs while they heal. If we go digging around too deep we risk harming (and hurting) them, and if we keep removing scabs, they never have a chance to heal. These days I only do 'surgery' if someone is starting to limp since that's a sign of infection. I've had several bumbles heal by themselves with some help from padded bandages. Good luck!
