Bumblefoot in Ducklings?

Hi everyone! I had a mixed breed duck go broody and hatch out a lone Australian Spotted duckling. A week ago, it started limping and it looked to have a small scratch on its foot. The foot was red and a little swollen, so I took care of it, let it get cleaned up and put it back with it's mom. Today a week later, I just came back from a trip and look at its foot. It now has a black scab on it. My duckling also looks a tad bit swollen around the ribs. That could just be me being paranoid, but is it possible for week old ducklings to develop bumblefoot? And if so, how would I go about curing it? This is my first experience with broodies and babies being raised that way, so I find myself continuously doubting my duck's mother skills.
