1) What type of bird , age and weight.
Hen aged approx 26weeks
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Limping and holding her leg up.
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
Off and on for a couple of weeks... seems to improve and then gets worse again
4) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
no... no swelling, cuts, redness... tonight I noticed a small mark on the underside of her foot... dark in colour....blackish...Bumblefoot??
5) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
6) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
Nothing wrong with her appetite! She is still the boss of the hen house! She is alert and inquisitive just not able to walk well!
7) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
Normal although she had a dirty bottom tonight.... we have had extremely hot weather the last few days and she has gotten into the water bath quite a bit!
8) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
Aspirin, garlic in brown rice, ACV (routine), washed her tonight to clean her bottom!
9 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
Will try to treat her myself at the moment.
10) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
This shows how she is hiding her left foot off the ground. She goes between limping and hopping. She is slightly wet as she had just had a bath. Will try and get one of the underside of her foot in the daylight.
