Yesterday, I noticed one of my hens more stationary than usual -- not limping but still less mobile. After looking her over I noticed she had two small black spots on her feet, which I believe to be bumblefoot. This is my first time dealing with bumblefoot in my flock. I soaked her in an Epsom salt bath for 15 minutes, sprayed/wiped down her foot with Vetricyn, and worked on removing the scabs with tweezers. One scab was slightly lifted after soaking her and came off with a tiny bit of yellowy pus and a very very shallow core. It bled a little so I did not dig further and applied Neosporin and a gauze/vetrap bandage. On her other foot, the scab was not as easy to pull off and when it did come off, it looked dry and cracked. I was fearful of causing further damage by picking around in there so applied the same bandage procedure to that foot.
I'm wondering if anyone with more experience can comment on whether this looks okay or what my next steps should be? I'm also curious, should I keep her inside or can she be out with the rest of the flock? Any info would be super appreciated.
