Bumblefoot questions

Did you read somewhere 14 days was safe?
That is great it finally opened. Keep it wrapped to keep bacteria from getting to it.
I saw a few other posters who had a vet prescribe Baytril for 14 days, so hopefully it should be okay. I got some probiotics as well.

And okay, I was debating whether to wrap it or not. I ended up not doing it tonight and they’re already in bed, but I’ll apply more iodine and wrap it tomorrow.

But also when I gave her the Baytril, I noticed that her bill is really, really hot. Do you think that means the infection has spread into her whole body?

I’m so pleased to report that Boop’s swelling has gone down, her limp is noticeably better, and her leg doesn’t feel hot anymore! Tomorrow will be day seven of Baytril. I think I’ll stop after that and wait to see if the swelling goes up again. Her ankle is still very misshapen, but I’m really hoping that it’s scar tissue. I think at the very least, the Baytril gave her some extra time and increased her quality of life. I’m very happy 🥲
