Never had that happen. I guess I would get it cleaned up really well and spray some vetericyn on it then some betadine. Top it off with some neosporin and then gauze and vet wrap. Pretty much like treating bumblefoot. One thing I have found that really helps is a product by 3m called Nexcare waterproof foam tape. It is colored like a bandaid, kind of a tan color. Not the white paper tape. You can find it on Amazon. Once you apply it it will not come off. I use it when I treat a bird for bumblefoot. It allows you to wrap the vet wrap a bit looser. Then the vetwrap won`t cut into the birds toe.
