Could this be Bumblefoot? It's not warm to the touch but duck is limping and holding the foot up. Please give advice. Thank you in advance.

Welcome to BYC. I am not a duck expert, but the bottom looks a bit swollen. Have you had any freezing weather where you live, where there might be a little mild frostbite? The Epsom salts soak to the feet for about 20 minutes might make it feel better. Then look for any tiny cuts on the feet.

Not cold weather much here. I have looked for cuts but haven't been able to see any. I'm going to try Epsom salt soak and see if that helps. I noticed it limping yesterday evening after being in the river all day.

Looks like swelling for sure maybe she stepped on something have you felt the skin for thorns? Hard to say what it might be,soaks and keeping an eye on it plus if she’s limping it’s painful so some days of resting may help.

I don’t think it’s a bumble yet. But could be one developing. It does look swollen, so I think an Epsom bath would help. (Don’t let her drink much of the water, it’ll make her poop!)

I let her soak twice today with no luck in the swelling going down. I will let her soak some more tomorrow. She did drink a little of the water! Bless her heart!

@Miss Lydia thoughts?
