Bumblefoot

Hello all,

this is Jerry's, my roosters, feet. Bumblefoot? He is limping and will hold up his right foot (the last image) and his right foot pad is a lot smaller and softer than his left foot pad. I am already treating a hen for double bumble foot, and it is not fun! Any suggetions/advice is much appreciated!

Welcome to BYC! Yes that looks like bumble foot. I have seen people cut the lid on a tote for an epsom salt bath which looks like it works well, haven’t tried it personally though. Good luck!!

I actually just tried the tote today! It worked well for my hen. However, the rooster freaked out quite a bit, he is not a fan. Then after cleaning his feet off I noticed it looked a little different then the hens so that's why I am questioning it. Guess I will put him into the treatment rotation as well. Thank you for replying!

That’s good news at least! I’m not an expert by any means but to me it looks to be bumble. Maybe someone else will say otherwise I’m not sure
