Hello, we discovered yesterday that one of our Pekin ducks has bumble foot. This is my first experience with it. We soaked in epsom salts, cleaned, and put antibiotic ointment. I'm picking up Vetericyn spray this morning and vetrap. Is there anything else I should get? Does it look like she's at the point of needing surgery or should I continue with soaks and cleaning? Thanks for any help!!!

I'd keep on soaking with the Epsom salt and try working the scabs off it may take a while to get them softened enough to gently pull them off. I don't think you need to cut just work on getting the scabs off then you can get the infection out spray with Veterycin and wrap. Or pack the holes with Antibiotic ointment. There is also an Epsom salt poultice now [TSC] is supposed to work well on bumbles.

Thank you SO much @Miss Lydia ! I got the Veterycin and the poultice. Would you spray and then put the poultice on and wrap? Thank you for always being so helpful!
