I received a sample package of Hibiclens and when reading through the promo packaging, it's biggest claim is that it kills MRSA and other staph infections. It's active ingredient is Chlorhexidine gluconate.

This could be ideal for tackling bumblefoot.

Also read that it:
- bonds with skin for up to 6 hrs to sustain antimicrobial activity
- effectiveness increases with use due to cumulative effect
- efficacy not compromised by organic matter like blood

Just thought I would pass along. Been seeing lots of posts on bumblefoot!

Wonderful information. We use Hibiclens in the operating room....I'm a nurse. I did not know that it was available to the public. Can you tell us where to get it?

I think I've seen it at Walgreens or CVS. I've used it as a surgical scrub for the OR and for patient pre/post op surgical wash... I just never really thought about it specifically for bumblefoot till I saw this little promo package.
