Bumblefoot

Y'all should have seen me at Tractor Supply and Family Dollar today. Gauze, wrap, penicillin, needles, antibiotic cream, iodine.......

After I pulled the scab off and saw only blood and no pus I cleaned it as good as I could and packed it with cream and wrapped it up. Hopefully I didn't make anything worse.

If it was just a callus would she have been limping like she was? She couldn't stand to put much wait on it.

Seriously, it probably is bumblefoot. I've had it manifest in several ways. I have a bird who has odd feet and she gets a callous on one side of her pad right at the outside edge, but she gets bad bumblefoot in the other one-she's a heavy hen and they seem to get it worse than my lightweights.

I have a duck with a big floppy old callus on her foot. She limps, but I am not going to remove it. She does ok on the soft grass.
