It looks as if one of my chickens has bumblefoot. It looks like it's in its early stage. I've read that antibiotics should do the trick if the condition is in the early stage. Is this true?

Never heard of that treatment. What I did when one of our chickens had bumblefoot was to soak the infected foot/feet 10 minutes a day for 14 days in epsom salt (warm) water. Hope your chicken gets better!

No surgery was done. I don't know if it will affect the eggs (I doubt it though). I don't even know if we just ate or trashed our chicken's eggs, so that's up to you.

I'm looking for an avian vet in my area. It looks like there are 2 possible places. I really want to try out that soaking method instead but a vet's advice is really helpful. Our chicken isn't limping, acting just fine. I haven't checked her foot today, but it has no discoloration the last time I checked.
