What is the BEST way to treat bumblefoot in my Pekin duck??

I like the idea of the non invasive side to treating bumble foot. Like soaking foot in a solution of Warm epsom salt water for 5-10 min. drying real well then applying colorless iodine with a qtip top and bottom of foot that has the bumble this draws the infection to the surface and then after a while scab can be removed and bumble taken out.
