I have a 1.5 year old male bronze breasted turkey who limps very badly. I have taken him to the vet and they gave me antibiotics to give him but they were not sure what it is. Anybody know if this is bumblefoot? if so what to do?

Poor Broad Breasted guys are prone to this. Yes, it looks like Pododermatitis.

In a guy this big, trying to do much more than provide a bit of antiseptic solution on cotton bandaging (2"x2"/4"x4" pads) and then wrapping with Vet wrap to hold it in place, is probably counterproductive. Put a squirt of antibiotic ointment & betadine on dressing and place over bottom of foot, cover with second layer and then wrap. Check the dressing in two-three days (is there any drainage from abscess)?

If no drainage, just keep dressing and make sure he is provided with clean, soft bedding. You can also try 2.5mg of Aspirin, per pound, tid to alleviate the irritation.
If there is drainage then treatment depends on how easy going your tom is (soak foot in warm water and Epsom salts and then redress).

Surgery on the big guy? Only if the abscess opens/drains on its own. Many times the infected area is isolated and cutting/squeezing will do no more than spread the infection - especially in heavy breeds. Could require more than one round of antibiotics.
