Bump near ducks tail???

Hi!! I'm new to ducks!! I only have one right now with some chicks..I noticed today there's a bump near his/her tail..It looks like a bump with some black fuzz..Is this normal for ducks? Thanks

I tried to get a pic, but he/she wouldn't hold still....It looks a tint green (not much) with some feather fuzz on it...lol Not sure what it is!

Sounds like his oil gland. Used for preening and 'water proofing' his feathers.

It's probably the preen gland, or the little "spot" they get oil from when they preen their feathers.

What breed of duck do you have? I have geese...
