Bumps on legs

Hi Tango Tango my BR has some bumps on her legs. Mostly white, one black.
They don't seem to bother her & scales aren't coming up. They are hard to touch & don't feel different from the rest of her legs.
Are these mites or something else?
I'm new to chickens & this one has always been a bit of a runt.

It might be the start of scarily legs mites...I wouldn't wait to treat though.
Get some cooking oil in a spray can and spray them for a few days straight to see if it helps.

Can I Vaseline them?
How often should I apply?
She's a bit skittish & would freak out with a spray can

Sure...
Coating the with vaseline works too.
I'd apply it for a few days straight...maybe 5.

The black is her natural coloring, both of my BR legs are that color
I don't see any raised scales at the moment, but if you wish, you can give her a day at the spa - wash her legs in a little warm soapy water, gently scrub with a soft brush, dry, then slather on a little coconut oil or A+D ointment.

I'll give her a little spa treatment & see how that works. She's such a sweetie, I'd like to do whatever preventative I can.

Yes Vaseline worked great on my rooster they suffocate and the bumps fall off. I was told to do it for 1 week, but his legs had huge growths so it took that long.

So I applied Vaseline a few times.
I also did a warm water soak & wash with pet enzyme soap (had for my dog).
Now the legs are looking dry on 2 of my girls.

They are all eating & acting normally.

Is this still scaly leg mites?
Or are they dry & cracked because it's been a scorching hell of a summer?
I can't tell because most pictures show severe cases?

Can you post a photo of the soap you are using or a link to the product?

I would apply some A+D ointment or Nustock to the legs to help promote healing.
