Bunch of 25- what is the expected death ratio?

Anyone know what i can expect if i buy the 25 chick bundle on how many might die?

We bought 22 in June and have had no deaths or illness.

I wish that I could give you an answer to your question, but there are just to many factors to consider. Were the chicks stress or sick upon arrival? Where are you keeping them? Do you have the proper supplies? How dilligent are you with taking proper care? The list can go on and on.

Chicks from a repudable hatchery will usually arrive in excellent condition and you should do fine.

I bought 44 for my first chick experience. None died.

If you get bantams, get some standard size chicks to help keep them warm in the box. I think that helps reduce losses a bit. We had 23 survive out of 25 shipped from Ideal, without standard chicks in the mix. Ideal didn't add any "packing peanuts" to help keep them warm.

I raised mine from 2 days old and didn't have a loss. Mind you that was only 6 chicks........
