Bunny Basics

So I was finally able to get some alfalfa. I went out 2 times last week to find some local and could only find Timothy. So I took the extra drive today to TSC and got some. I got Dumor just because that’s my preferred brand.

So oxbow..... I thought that was a type of hay, but at TSC it looked like it’s a brand? Correct? Or am I confused? Sorry, I’m still new to rabbits, educated me on oxbow.
Yes, Oxbow is a brand that makes products for small animals. They sell toys, food, bedding, and other supplies.

Sounds like a lot of you use and or like oxbow, what are your opinions on dumor for hay and pellets?

I can't find a clear picture of this feed quickly online... The reason I don't like it is because it is what appears to be different types of pellets and different colorful things....
Which gives the rabbit to choose which type of thing to pick out and eat.
I wouldn't give them an option I would feed one type of pellet only.
Giving them the option to pick and choose which pieces to eat It's kind of like just giving them treats.

Is there only one kind of oxbow pellets for rabbits? Or what kind would you suggest?
I believe there are about six different types of Oxbow pellets.
There are some for young rabbits and there are some for rabbits over a year old.

I don't believe that everyone has to feed their rabbit Oxbow brand although I don't think I would feed my rabbit anything but Oxbow...

I would tell you to buy a pellet that looks the same throughout the whole bag.
Not different types of pellets mixed together but one type. Shoot I'm having trouble explaining exactly what I mean but hopefully you understand.

Absolutely no colorful stuff.
