Quick question...What age will Bunny Boy be weaning the Bunnies. Some say 6 weeks and others say 8 to even 10 weeks..
. what I really want to know is when Bunny Boy can go get spayed?...

Super good moms will nurse their babies indefinitely, I left a couple girls with their momma last summer until I caught them nursing at 6 months old. Which btw is a hilarious sight because they’re fully grown.Quick question...What age will Bunny Boy be weaning the Bunnies. Oh, lol..Like any other mothers then..Super good moms will nurse their babies indefinitely, I left a couple girls with their momma last summer until I caught them nursing at 6 months old. Which btw is a hilarious sight because they’re fully grown.
I shouldn't have mentioned it. Don't listen to me.I went out to feed Bunny Boy and the Bunnies were cold and huddled under the heat lamp. I raised it yesterday although they definitely need it lower again. Poor bunnies. I felt terrible for them..I have it back as it was in the first place.
I'd rather them move from heat than huddle from the cold.![]()
These little buggers probably will need to be weaned by 6 weeks because they are after Bunny Boy non stop if they can get her to nurse them..I shouldn't have mentioned it. Don't listen to me.Glad they are okay. You know what's best on your end.
I weaned my first batch by 6 weeks. The second I left and they continued to nurse. I started by separating out mom from kits at night, and eventually totally.
Definitely provide places she can get away. My mom bunny would put up the "out for lunch" sign and the kits didn't bother her. Usually mom will grumble and growl the kits off. I suppose Bunny Boy doesn't have the heart to do that. You could also confine the kits a bit so mom has to jump in to be with them.Should I put a little tote for Bunny Boy to escape the buggers?.Meaning something she can hop up on to rest from the nipple monsters...![]()
I'm thinking Bunny Boy is too nice because she caves and will stop to nurse a couple but then kicks them off..Definitely provide places she can get away.
