Burlap as wind break on coop vents?

Can you put those old bedsheets on the run wall? Or the top half of the run wall? Maybe wrap them a few feet of the sides too.

It likely wouldn't last the winter unless you also add more support because they will get so heavy once the temperatures rise. But if you expect to want something for just this storm, it should work.

They might last the winter if you do something like fold 6 inches of the edges over and sew them to make a tube. Then slide poles through and attach the poles to the frame of the run.

We used privacy mesh like this to cover our run and the vent openings when it snows. It allows air flow but stops rain and snow while cutting the wind down significantly. It is usually made of polyethylene, I think. We plan to take it off in the spring and store it in a dry place until next winter. Depending on the lighting, you can see through it so the weave must not be too tight.

P.S. The roof of our run is covered by a tarp, not the privacy mesh. While it stops rain blowing into it at an angle, I am fairly certain that it would leak like a sieve in the rain if used as a roof material.
