btw the chicks are doing good. After I posted last night I decided to move them, again, to a smaller container and covered the container with a towel. I checked the temperature to ensure it was warm in there. When I was satisfied they would be cozy I went to bed. They're fine. None are chilled and they made contented noises all night.

but I keep coughing now. ugh.

dear love took a look at the bathtub this morning and said it can be patched easily and he would show me how. Apparently putting holes in cheap tubs is not uncommon. Just doing it with a heat lamp is.
