Burying hardware cloth vs. skirting and covering with paver

This picture was the work in progress. (not nailed up yet) we folded the welded wire rather than cutting it so it was doubled up. Then we added some nice colored rocks on top. Haven't had any problems yet. You can view the finished picture on my BYC page. Check out the chick's head popping up at the door. She cracks me up.

I buried my 1/2" hardware cloth approximately 10-12" and placed chop block 3" apart in the trough for extra protection. Also put this cloth on the top of the run (still working on that - a bit expensive!) - have plans to cover it with corrugated tin eventually. You can see a bit of it on My Page. Good luck!
