I have been looking at threads for years & finally made an account
I live off the road system in very remote rural Alaska. Every year when the daylight comes back my farmer genetics kick in and I am compelled to acquire farm animals. I live on the tundra but my lot/yard is small, it is a very very odd compulsion around here
I kept chickens for over a decade (I am an expert on winter hardiness). Took a break for a year and now find myself having fun with waterfowl. Started with 5 ducks and 2 geese. I got them for eggs but this summer they have all made impossible to find nests and decided we are in the meat business. Fine. I love duck.
Named my geese Hate and Karen. I have been posting about them on facebook. I call it my **DAILY GOOSE UPDATES** and share their shenanigans. They have kept my town entertained during quarantine.
