well,spring is here !!
I have 40 in the bator, due April 1st , give or take.
just went to the coop to collect eggs, yep. One of my buff/leghorn girls has decided the nice spring weather is a good time for babies. She is now sitting. I checked her out, being the wiser now, i put the bucket near her rather then my hand, yep, she attacked it. Pretty darn good sign she's feeling motherly.
so, the thing is, I have some welsh harlequin ducks that are now laying pretty good. I am thinking, duck eggs for this broody, and not chicken eggs.
I was going to put duck eggs in the bator next go round, but, am wondering if I might have more success with teh chicken bator, haha.
