Butchered broiler with ascites

I butchered my last two slow grower cornish crosses today. Both finished at about 6 pounds after processing. One had a mild case of ascites. There was a 3 Tbsp of yellow fluid. Is this edible? Is it better off as dogfood? Or neither? The color of the meat looks the same as the other bird. Both birds were fiesty prior to butchering. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Personally I wouldn't eat it. Anything that is irregular is dog food in my opinion as I just don't chance it.

It's all in what you want to chance... if you think it will be ok then eat it. More than likely whatever was in the fluid will be cooked out by the time you go to eat it.

But again... me.... I would let the dogs have it.

I'd cook it. What possibly harm could it cause? It's just a collection of fluid. It is not an infection. It is not pus. There is nothing there that can hurt you. Personally, I'd just wash it up and cook it.
