butchering older hens

I have 10 hens that are 18 months old. They are not the egg producers that I thought they would be. I would like to butcher them for broilers. Are they too old for that purpose? If so could I use them for stewing chickens?

Yes indeed. Stew them low and slow and long and they'll make excellent broth and pulled chicken meat.
