Butler's Gartersnake (Thamnophis butleri)

We have these in our yard and was wondering if anyone knew if they are "egg eaters" ---from what I've read, they eat toads, earthworms, leeches, fish, etc...here's the website I found them on

I wonder if they would go after my eggs?

I dont think you will have to worry about that little one. Nope..they wont go after your eggs....just scare the dickens out of you, when you least expect it! LOL

Small as the snakes are, don't be surprised if one gets close enough to an egg - you'll see your chickens chasing each other around to eat the snake. I had to take a hatchling black snake away from mine one time.
