Butt Pecking...

Discussion in 'Chicken Behaviors and Egglaying' started by babychickfarmer, Aug 21, 2007.

  1. Our one chicken who was having the prolasp thing is now getting her butt feathers pecked at by our leghorns. She now has a bald red butt! What can I do to keep them from doing this??

When Obelisk was doing that with Slifer, I'd put BlueKote/Wound Kote on it and Better Bitters too. That would keep her from eating Slifer's bum feathers.
