I'm getting some buttercups and I can't fined anything about their bahavior. Are they as nice as a Silky or as mean as a cockfighting rooster?

Sorry about the last post some how two of my posts got mixed up.

I have also heard that they can be very sweet- I have two female chicks (I think) that just arrived last Friday (10 days old now) in an assorted bunch of breeds, and am hoping they will turn out to be nice. I'm interested in seeing what others have to say.

I've had Buttercups in confinement of coop and small run, they managed just fine. As for cage confinement, I never had them in cages except when they were younger and they did just fine.

I had buttercups, they are a little flighty but if you pay A LOT of attentionto them as a chick they will follow you around and fly up to your shoulder. They were a little like my Fayoumi.

Well, that's encouraging! Ours are so cute in their little cheetah spots and eyeliner! They are in the dog bath in the mudroom and so are getting plenty of attention with all the other chicks- just had a yummy breakfast of crickets, much to the kids' amusement....
