Buttercup, the photogenic chicken :)

I enjoy going outside and taking pictures of my 30 chickens to see how far they have progressed!

Buttercup is a 17 week old blondie with a very outgoing personality. She enjoys grapes, watermelon, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. Whenever she hears the sound of the porch door closing you will see her come running from where ever she was because she wants to see if you have a treat for her!

Thank you very much everyone. I think she just has a strong curosity for the camera but I don't mind because I have some wonderful pictures because of it.

Yes she is a buff cochin and the woman we bought her from got her at McMurray.

Unforuntately, a hawk killed buttercup last night but because of her sacrifice 29 chickens were able to be kept safe and no harm was done to them. Buttercup was an amazing chicken, she was one of our favorites and will be terribly missed. I feel as if I lost a member of my family last night and my heart is broken. However, I hope with time this wound will heal and now my family and I will be able to learn from this terrible experience and prevent it from ever happening again.

I love you Buttercup and I cannot wait to see you in heaven! <3
