Hello Everybirdie,
i decided to do a separate thread for the eggtopsy as to keep my “Any Hope For This Anxious Novice?” A simple walkthrough. This will also keep diagnosis easier for me to track.
This was the last one I pulled last night (day 15). In the complete dark, I could see he had developed, but was too far behind the 6 I left in the incubator for lockdown. I wanted to eggtopsy him because he seems similar to most who didn’t make it, or at least close behind.
When candling, he was to one side of the egg, and it looked murky. I couldn’t see any veining (though i never could in any egg) and I could see his form in the yolk (all the others, I can only see the airsac. The rest of the egg is solid dark.)
from what I can see, he had little wings, feet, and a little body (I could even lift the appendages), but his head was hardly formed (enough for a neck, but no eyes or beak and clearly soft) He must have quit around... day 10? 12? The blood you see is because I must have punctured something.

Things to note:
- I am at high altitude (5,453) . These eggs are from Pennsylvania
- These eggs were in a questionable and too-moist incubator for two days.
- The humidity was around 50-60 the majority, and I recently increased it to 70-80. It has stayed at 81-83 for the past few days.
- I pulled him last night at ~1am, and did the eggtopsy exactly 12 hours later.
